HOW TO MAKE A Fabric Wreath

Member of: Grillo Designs Home Decorating and Upcycling Group

Materials used:

Styrofoam Wreaths (-I always get the 8,12 inch but you can go up to 16 in)

Hot glue gun

4 Felt sheets

Scissors, 3 Fabric squares -1/8 of each pattern will be more than enough

BLING and or buttons: as much as your heart desires

How I did it

Before I get started on the wreath, I start to make the felt flowers since this can take the longest to make.

Making the flowers

To make the fabric flowers, you simply cut out different sized circles and cut smaller circles inside until it looks like this and then roll and secure the end with a dab of glue

roll the flowers

As you can see my flowers aren’t perfect here but I call it character!

Now to roll! I cut my fabric pieces straight down the middle.

Foam wreath

Once its cut, put a line of glue onto wreath and place fabric over top and begin to roll around wreath, you will overlap as your roll which is fine.

wrap the fabric

I usually wrap around 4-5 times before I wrap the second fabric.

wrap the fabric

Now this is where the fun comes in, you can wrap as many colors, layers and textures as you want to make it your own!

Completed wreath

Now its time to add all of the felt flowers that I burnt my hands so many times with **disclaimer** You can place them where you like before securing them with the glue.

attach the flowers

Once they are secured add bling, buttons or maybe a monogram and VOILA!!
