grillo-designs.com is a personal blog, owned and operated by Medina Grillo. By using this site, you are indicating your agreement to the terms of this privacy policy. If you disagree with any of the terms below, please do not use this site.
Grillo Designs reserves the right to alter the terms of this policy at any time. Changes will be notified to you using the e-mail address you provide to me (if you subscribed for Grillo Designs updates) or by an announcement on this site. Your privacy is important to me. I am committed to protecting your privacy and will ensure that the information I obtain from you and use will always be processed and transferred in compliance with all applicable data protection laws and regulations, including the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). A copy of this policy is provided by link in the welcome email received by all subscribers to Seasons in Colour and on the subscription pop-up.
The information I collect
This website is not intended for children and I do not knowingly collect data relating to children.
This policy applies to all information collected or submitted on this website. The types of personal information collected are:
1. Email Address
This is the email that you provide if you wish to receive the Grillo Designs newsletter.
This information is maintained by Mailchimp in a contacts list within their server – I access this list through the web based Mailchimp.com dashboard only. I do not process your email further, do not download it and do not share it with any third party (e.g. with brands).
I will use your email address to email you the Grillo Designs newsletter which may contain direct or indirect marketing material (for example, sponsored posts about interiors products, affiliate marketing and brand advertisements),
When you subscribe to receive my newsletter, you consent to receiving this marketing information which forms part of my blog. If you do not wish to receive such marketing information, you should not subscribe to the newsletter. You can continue to use my website freely, without subscribing to the newsletter.
If you subscribed to my newsletter prior to the 25th May 2018, you will continue to receive it but I will provide an opportunity for you to unsubscribe – an ‘unsubscribe’ button is available at the bottom of all newsletters sent by Grillo Designs
2. Your name
This is only in relation to comments on posts; this could be just a first name only (not identifiable data), first and last name, alias (not identifiable data) or initials (not identifiable data) and/or your email address. I do not process this data further and do not store it on my computer. This data is stored within the comments app which is supplied by a third party through wordpress plugins. Grillo Designs cannot retrieve individual comments left through this plugin.
3. Technical Data
My website uses Google Analytics, a service which transmits website traffic data to Google servers in the United States. Google Analytics uses “cookies”, small text files placed on your computer, to collect standard internet log and visitor behaviour information in an anonymous form. Google Analytics does not identify personal information or individual users or associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
I use reports provided by Google Analytics to help us understand website traffic and webpage usage. Grillo Designs does not hold or process this data – enquiries about processing of technical data should be addressed to Google.
Some of our advertising partners may use cookies and web beacons on our site. Our advertising partners include Amazon, Adthrive and Skimlinks but this is subject to change at any time. Each of these advertising partners has their own Privacy Policy for their site.

4. Full name and postal address
This is in relation to competition winners. This data is submitted by email by winners and will be deleted within 10 days of receiving confirmation of receipt of the prize.

Grillo Designs is a personal blog on interior design. You do not have to subscribe to my newsletter in order to access Grillo-designs.com but have indicated (where you have subscribed) that you are interested in receiving regular updates from me. I therefore have your consent in supplying you these regular communications. You can unsubscribe at any time.
