Old Dresser
Table Saw
Valspar paint
Calcium Carbonate
How to
I deconstructed the dresser first, removing the top and using it as the bench seat.
I then took the drawers I removed, broke them down and ripped them on the table saw to 2″ widths and that’s what I made the seat backs out of.
The top rails were also made from the dresser drawer left overs
Everything on this project was made from the old dresser.
This was also my first attempt at chalk paint. I made my own using the VALSPAR furniture paint. Mixture was 3/4 cup calcium carbonate dissolved in water to smooth consistency to 3 cups paint (24 ounces)..
This is the finished product!

I have been restoring different items for a while now. I just recently though jumped into repurposing furniture.
