House plants are a great way to bring the outdoors into your home – here is a list of where you can buy indoor plants online!
WHY HAVE INDOOR PLANTS?
You all know how much I love plants right?
They are literally my go to whenever I’m looking to add a little colour to a room that might be lacking character (which can often be the case when you rent or live in a new build home without any complimenting features). One of the things I love most about plants is the versatility they offer in terms of scale. They can be small enough to style on an open shelving, or large enough to fill an empty corner and command floor space of their own.
And if we look beyond their aesthetic value, it’s been long since proven that having plants in your home has many health benefits, including the improvement of overall air quality by reducing toxins, which in turn lowers blood pressure and stress levels (here is more information on houseplants health benefits if you were interested)
So yeah, as I’ve established, plants are great – and if you ask me, every home should have at least one. Caring for them though, isn’t always the easiest, but its not impossible with the right direction (check this post here for tips). In terms of my own plant journey , I ‘ve come a long way. I used to be a plant killer . . .my thumbs were as black as they come! Now my thumbs are a lovely shade of blue-green ha!

WHY BUY PLANTS ONLINE?
Have you ever been in that situation where you’ve visited your local greenhouse, seen a plant you REALLY like, but after paying for it, suddenly realise that there’s the question of how you are going to get said plant back to your house in one piece? It’s too big to fit in your car, so trailing around with a 5ft fig tree rather awkwardly on public transport is the only other option.
Come now, I know we’ve all been there.
Buying indoor plants online takes away some of that unnecessary hassle. You can rest assured in the knowledge that a) your plants will be delivered straight to your door in a matter of days (or hours), and b) they’ll be fully intact when they arrive (although that probably depends on the temperament of the delivery driver).
Its a win win kind of situation.
Below is a comprehensive list of where you can buy indoor plants online. This list is a mixture of small and large business, places I’ve bought from personally as well as places others have recommended and reviewed.
