This project was submitted by Stephanie Calderon from SC Portraits – a member of our Home and DIY Facebook group. I absolutely love how she has transformed the look of her fridge using peel and stick wallpaper. Its reversible (renter friendly) and a great way to cover up ugly appliances!
Stephanie shares her wallpapered fridge makeover tutorial below. You can also view other appliance makeovers on the blog here
Materials used:
- Nu Wallpaper
- Rubbing alcohol
- wash cloth
- smoothing tool
- screw driver
- box cutter
How to:
- First I removed all handles and hardware from the refrigerator.
- I cleaned the refrigerator with rubbing alcohol and a wash cloth {Let it completely dry}
- I put the wallpaper on the corner of the door of the refrigerator. I tried to get it as straight as I possibly could and I slowly pulled the backing of the wallpaper off and smoothed with smoothing tool as I went down the refrigerator {I went all the way down the refrigerator without cutting the wallpaper * for best pattern matching result, cut the openings for the doors last*
- I just kept going and matching the pattern best as I could until the refrigerator was completely covered.
- I then cut all around the doors and cut around screw holes.
- Lastly I put the handles and hardware back on the refrigerator and BAM!!! Look how awesome it looks!!!

HOW TO WALLPAPER A LAMINATE FLOOR
This must be the prettiest fridge I’ve seen 🙂 I did the same thing with a wooden table and scored the look of a £3000 one for £199 🙂
I love the look of this fridge! Thanks for sharing your project with us at Merry Monday.
Oh my! That looks so cool and retro – I would never have thought of doing that.
