Material Used:
IKEA Box
Brown paint
Grey paint
White paint
Decoupage glue
Varnish
Sandpaper
Scrapbooking paper
Wood grain tool /brush
Old belt
Wooden blanks
These materials can be purchased from my website.
How to:
The box:
Paint the whole box to brown and leave to dry.
Next paint the whole box grey and when its still wet use wood grain brush from one side to the other. Leave to dry and then dry wipe with sandpaper.
To protect use clear wax .
Paint wooden handles , wipe them with sandpaper and attach to the bottom of the box
The Drawers:
Apply thicker layer of decoupage glue and attach the scrap book paper. Remove the redundant pieces of paper using sandpaper, always from top to bottom.
Apply a few coats of varnish and leave each layer to dry.
Use sandpaper to distress. At the end use patina or dark wax.
And the cherry on the top ..cut old belt into equal parts, paint them and wipe with sandpaper.
